Guest Policy: A camper is welcome to bring a guest almost every day on the camp calendar, save for special days, which typically take place on Thursdays. The special days will be announced at least a week in advance to make sure that everyone can plan accordingly. As of now, no guests will be allowed on Thursday, July 7, Thursday, July 21, and Thursday, July 28. When bringing a guest, we ask that the guest be around the same age as the camper, because the guest will have to shadow the camper for the entirety of the day (having similar interests is important, too). The guest will have to bring a lunch, just like a camper. We also ask that a camper not bring the same guest more than once during a camp year and that a camper only bring one guest per week.
Late Policy: Please come to the office when you arrive and sign in on the late sheet. Make sure an office staff member knows that you’re here. They’ll tell you what course you should head to. You do not need to call the office in advance to let us know that you’ll be late, but it would be appreciated. The number for the RISE office is 401.831.7350 ext.210.
Absences: If your camper will be missing camp for any reason (illness, vacation, etc.) please call the RISE office by 10:00 am so we can adjust our attendance for the day.
Morning drop off: Camp drop-off begins at 8:45. We cannot provide supervision before this time. If you need childcare before 8:45, please make use of our extended day program, which begins at 7:30 am. After camp extended day runs from 3:00-5:30 pm. Extended Daycare is $8 per hour for one camper and $10 per hour for two or more campers. Questions about extended day should be directed to Reeni Ferreira, director of Extended Day, at (401) 556-1042, or in the RISE office at (401) 831-7350, ext. 210.
Afternoon pick up: Half day or early pick-ups should come throught the RISE office so we can sign them out. Full day campers will be dismissed from the grove AFTER announcements. Counselors need to see the parent or authorized pick up person before releasing the camper. At MB we say goodbye with a handshake.
Please be conscious of campers crossing our main drive from 2:40-3:15 (Check-out time). We have a traffic direction in the form of long-time RISE counselors. Please honor their discretion in traffic signaling in order to facilitate a safe check-out.
Parking: Throughout the day, especially during drop off or check-out, please do not park and leave your car along the main driveway. Not only is this a fire hazard, but this creates an obstacle for campers and other parents during these times.
